Government Push Alerts
AccuWeather’s Government Push Alerts data provides users with a consistent format for official weather alerts sourced from meteorological agencies around the world. Instead of polling for updates, alerts are pushed to you. Data is delivered via Amazon's Simple Notification Service (SNS) in real time, so you are always up to date with the latest government-issued alerts as they are published.
Real-time push delivery
Government Push Alerts is a push product—there is no endpoint to poll. Once your queue is connected, AccuWeather publishes each new or updated government alert to your Amazon SNS topic as it happens. See the setup guide to connect your AWS account.
What you get
- Worldwide coverage: alerts normalized from many national and regional meteorological agencies into one schema.
- Real-time delivery: new issuances, updates, extensions, and cancellations arrive as they happen.
- Rich, structured payloads: severity, urgency, and affected areas in every message.
