# General information

AccuWeather's Tidal Forecast API delivers tide predictions — high and low tide times and water levels — for coastal locations worldwide. Useful for boating apps, fishing planners, beach-condition dashboards, and marine logistics.

Forecasts are available in **more than 200 [languages and dialects](/developers/languages)**.

## Forecast windows

Tidal forecasts are available for **1, 5, 10, 15, 25, and 45 days** ahead.

## Station metadata

The API also returns metadata for the underlying tidal station that provides each forecast — useful for displaying station names, locations, and reliability information alongside the predictions.

## Requirements

Tidal Forecast searches require a **LocationKey**. Use the [Locations API](/developers/locations/guide) to look one up.
