# General information

AccuWeather's Imagery API delivers **radar and satellite images** for any location worldwide. Each request returns the **five most recent images**, ready to be displayed in a repeating loop for an animated effect — useful for weather widgets, dashboards, and "is it raining now" UI.

→ See the [Imagery Guide](/developers/imagery/guide) and [Parameters](/developers/imagery/parameters) for endpoint details and request patterns.

## Available resolutions

Radar and satellite images are available in three sizes:

- **480×480** — small (square)
- **640×480** — standard
- **1024×1024** — large (square, high resolution)

## Coverage

- **Satellite** imagery is available for all locations worldwide.
- **Radar** imagery is not available for every location. When radar isn't available for the requested location, satellite imagery is still returned.

## Requirements

Imagery searches require a **LocationKey**. Use the [Locations API](/developers/locations/guide) to look one up.
